Improving Instruction through Technology
Using technology in the classroom has defitnely enhanced the way we teach. Computers and other technology resources have provided many students with essential tools needed to be successful in the classroom. In order for students to feel comfortable using these skills, teachers must first feel comfortable themselves. Improving instruction through the use of technology in the classroom would extend learning and give students the opportunity to “think outside the box”.
Using technology in the classroom would help students learn how to enhance the look of a particular project. When using the computer you discover numerous tools that could be used to create and design a project, especially if you’re using Windows 2007. It has so many new techniques and tabs for preparing a document.
The internet is used everyday as a data bank. There are occasions when information found on the internet is not accurate. You must be sure that the information found on-line is factual information. Students could use the internet as a source for a research paper.
Instruction could be improved by using technology to extend learning. For example, model for the students how to create a power point. Once this task has been mastered, the students could create their own power point presentation using information they researched on-line.
